Frequently Asked Questions
Every Nokii experience is designed to help you slow down, reconnect and restore. Whether it’s your first sauna or part of your weekly ritual, the information below will help you prepare, feel comfortable and make the most of your time with us.
How should I prepare?
We recommend arriving well hydrated and having eaten something light beforehand. Avoid alcohol before your session. Bring two towels - one to sit on and another fresh one for after you’ve showered. A water bottle and swimsuit are also essential. Give yourself time to unwind before entering; the sauna is best experienced slowly and without rush.
What should I bring?
Please bring a towel to sit on, swimwear, water to drink and a dry change of clothes for afterwards. You are welcome to bring a second towel if you plan to take a cold dip. Sauna hats are optional but recommended to protect your hair and scalp.
What should I wear?
Swimwear is required at all times. Please avoid neoprene or synthetic fabrics, as they are not suitable for high temperatures. Remove jewellery, watches, and glasses before entering.
How long should I stay in the sauna?
We recommend 5–20 minute sessions, followed by a cool down and hydration break. You can repeat the cycle as you wish during your booked time. Listen to your body, the best sauna rhythm is personal and mindful.
Can I re-enter during my session?
Yes, you are welcome to cool down and return to the sauna during your allotted time. Most guests enjoy alternating between heat and cool several times.
How old do I have to be?
Can I bring friends or book as a group?
Guests must be 16 years or older to use the sauna. This ensures everyone can enjoy the experience safely and respectfully.
Absolutely. You can book the sauna for a private group or reserve spots within a public session. Please ensure everyone in your group reads and agrees to the waiver before attending.
Is there parking nearby?
Each Nokii location is different, but parking information will be provided in your booking confirmation email. Whenever possible, we encourage walking, cycling or car sharing to support the environment and keep sites tranquil.
Are there changing facilities on site?
Yes, there is a small changing area available for guests. Please arrive ready to sauna if possible, as facilities may vary depending on location.
What is the Nokii Sauna Club membership?
Joining the Nokii Sauna Club gives you access to exclusive wellness events, priority bookings and seasonal offers. Members also receive invitations to special gatherings and early access to new locations.
Do you provide towels?
Can I bring my own essential oils?
Towels are not provided but can be purchased on site. Please bring your own towels for hygiene and comfort.
No, only approved sauna oils provided by Nokii may be used. External oils can ignite, release toxins or make the floor slippery. Our curated scents are designed to complement the heat safely.
Are cold plunges available?
At some locations, guests can access natural cold water such as lakes or rivers. Sometimes ice baths will be on site. Please enter the water only if you are confident in your swimming ability and comfortable with extreme cold exposure.
What if I have a medical condition?
Please consult your doctor before booking if you have any health concerns. Sauna use is not advised if you are pregnant, have high or low blood pressure, heart conditions, diabetes, epilepsy or are prone to fainting.
Any tips for first-timers?
Start slow, breathe deeply and focus on relaxing your mind as well as your body. Alternate between heat and cool, drink plenty of water and listen to how you feel. The sauna experience is not a competition — it’s a ritual of restoration.
What happens if I arrive late?
Sessions start promptly at the booked time to ensure everyone gets their full experience. If you arrive late, your session may be shorter and refunds cannot be offered. Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early.
How do bookings, cancellations and refunds work?
All bookings are made online through our website. Cancellations can be made up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable as your slot cannot be rebooked.
What if the weather is bad?
The sauna operates in most weather conditions. The contrast of rain, wind and steam often makes the experience even more atmospheric. If conditions are unsafe, we will contact you directly to reschedule or refund your booking.
Are there rules I need to follow?
Yes, our sauna etiquette helps protect both guests and the fire itself. Wash your feet before entering, sit on a towel, pour water gently on the stones and respect the shared calm. Alcohol and nudity are not permitted.
Can I eat or drink before my session?
A light meal before your sauna is fine, but avoid heavy food or alcohol. Always hydrate before, during and after your session. Water with added electrolytes is something we highly recommend, but if not then plain water or herbal tea is best.
Lost or forgotten items
Nokii Sauna is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged belongings. If you believe you’ve left something behind, please contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
